This is an Indonesian house, designed by SUB, Studio for visionary design. This house has grey and green areas to reflect the built and unbuilt spaces mixing together. The architects have defined a zoning scheme with upended circulation hierarchies. For example, the maid and pantry areas are located near the front entrance. So, it is possible to have a multifunction area because of the larger space for the living room and dining areas can be created blend in with the terrace. There is a large window opening up to the main green area.
This minimalist house has 93 square meters site area. The house is finished with the raw materials without finishes. The traditional Indonesian typologies are used, such as local brick, local roofing material and cement board. While the doors and windows are framed using solid woods. For opening and closing the windows, angled steel is used. And the paint only applied on the ceiling. These are the intention of the architect to express the architecture it is, an honest. As the climatic response, the house has big windows that allow better air circulation and natural lighting providing.
