This eco house is located in Yport, atop the cliffs in Normandy, France. Shelter house has two extended spaces to the right and the left side of the house. The extended spaces consist of a couple of sheltered patios at ground level and rooftop terraces above. Wood with a rustic masonry face is the main construction of this modern sustainable home. Designed by Franklin Azzi Architecture, this house features a rainwater-recycling system, geothermal energy, and solar panels. The materials of the building are ecyclable and locally sourced from within 100km of the home’s location, and then assembled onsite. Walls and insulation is using vegetable fibers, while heating comes via wood-burning stove. This house is using passive cooling and ventilation.
