Hayam Wuruk Residence – The City’s Green Oasis in Denpasar, Bali
Environment configuration aspect and comfortability is the main point to be focused in Hayam Wuruk Residence. The result is strategic position of each houses form a housing complex with high privacy and Balinese tropical garden in landscaping. Hayam Wuruk Residence located in Denpasar, is intended to be a residential area with resort ambiance, become an oasis in the density of Denpasar city. Arkadena as the developer has commissioned Ketut Siandana to design the site and special types of units collaborate with Arcadia Architecture Consultants.
Hayam Wuruk Residence consists of 36 units in a sprawling site of 1.7 hectare. There are five different types of house unit: Turquoise Green (200 m2/182 m2), Jade Green (200 m2/182 m2), Emerald Green (240 m2/240 m2), Sapphire Green (280 m2/285 m2), and Diamond Green (340 m2/345 m2). Balinese architecture and modern tropical house is very strong implemented in this housing complex. For example, large openings to ensure the natural light come into each room, cross ventilation principle is applied, the use of naturally sourced materials such as blocks of river stones and karang asem’s paras stone, wooden planks for pool deck and window and door frames. The connecting theme to all unit types is ornamented wall which separates the front garden and the more private indoor garden is constructed with red bricks indigenous to the Balinese.
