In the cold snowy Andes Mountain, this house is designed as the respond of the extreme climate. Sited in a an existing void in the middle of a slope, bound on two sides by magnificent old containment walls built of stone, these walls created an area 7,5m below the road level in 12×10m2. This contemporary mountain house design has considered many factors due to the 2000m high of Andes Mountain in Chile. Architects Nicolás del Río and Max Núñez also known as dRN Architects have designed this lovely space with exterior finish in waterproof membrane and the black slate stone cladding to resist the harsh weather of extreme low temperatures, snow and rain.
