The Ellis Park House is a creative work from the Altius Architecture . The architecture firm has succeeded to solve the difficult site problems. The site location was considered unbuildable because of its 45 slopes and shallow depth. When people think that it’s almost impossible to build, the architects with innovative design has made strikes. The house becomes an earth sheltered home, ideally sited in an urban context with good solar orientation and exceptional vistas over Toronto’s High Park.
Located in the Bloor West Village neighbourhood of Toronto, Canada, the Ellis Park House boasts an ecological urban home with intimate focusing in sustainability and contemporary living. This modern house design has open space concept and conceived to be flooded with daylight. The traditional sustainable materials are used in this house, applied on cork, reclaimed stone, birch and marine plywood, clay brick, copper and Douglas fir. This natural house also offer a wonderful vistas.
