This house was designed for a couple with 2 children, located in Hiroshima city, Japan. The house has 28.92sqm building area on the 54.56sqm site area with total floor area 79.23sqm (1F:26.41sqm 2-1F:26.41sqm 2-2F:26.41sqm). The Japanese architects Suppose Design Office have designed this house in steel structure with reinforced concrete as the external wall. The interior was finished in oak flooring, vinyl crossing for the internal wall and ceiling.
The houses of the area are sitting closely each other so the condition is quite difficult to make the residence open to outside keeping its private. The house has unique design in its relationship between the building and its exterior elements. The architects have succeeded to create more open environment to the outside in protecting its privacy. It resulted from the gap between the walls and the inside construction, where the sunlight is coming down well reflecting between the two structures.
