This house was designed by AGi architects of Spain and Kuwait. It involved three homes clad in white stucco and three homes in black stone. Because of using the two tones to differentiate between the six properties on three plots, it was called Black White House. Terraces in between and pools on the ground floor separated the residences. The house design had six properties in three plots, consisting of three houses wrapped in white cement and three houses with black stone.
Located on a main highway in Kuwait, the houses distinguished themselves from their surroundings by their house design. With two contrasting colours, the modern house design was designed emphasizing the individual houses. It obtained unity amongst all six. The base for all the houses used white stucco material.
Facing the 5th Ring Road highway, each of the houses divided to accommodate two houses: the front, facing the inner neighbourhood street and the back. The courtyard houses enclosed the front villas with large window. A garden facing the highway was overlooked the back villas. Because of the minimalist house, volumetric spaces and dramatic light wells drove the visitors into the main entrance of the house, and led them onto the garden. The houses were separated the landscape through different levels. So it created privacy and independence from each other. The important aspect of the design was natural light and ventilation. According to the spatial organization and relationship between indoor and outdoor, each house had a certain level of complexity. When someone visited to the modern houses, one found new spatial and visual experiences. Reaching maximum privacy from each other, the different levels and careful program layout were studied. This residential house has 3,415 sqm areaand located in Yarmouk, Kuwait.
