A beautiful example of blending shapes with sustainable and eco-friendly technology was the Malibu 5 home, designed by a team of architects led by Stephen Kanner. By using the sea-breeze for natural cooling and solar energy for conventional energy needs, the modern house was created to reduce energy consumption, facing the beautiful Pacific Coast. Spacious interiors with contemporary design was showed and depended on a very efficient base for all its insulation and heating needs during nights, equipped with solar panels that produced ample energy and natural ventilation options. The house design became a good lesson and simple, stylish and sustainable architecture.

This Kyneton house is a single story house located in Kyneton, Victoria, Australia. This house is facing to the north generously. The house is stretching east to west across the site where the roof was designed to let the interior flooded by the northern natural light. The sustainable design is applied to manage the thermal performance. In order to manage the ample thermal mass to the south, there are double glazed windows to the north, long eaves, and sub-floor airspace to stabilize the diurnal range. The needs of water for the toilets, laundry and garden are supplied by the rainwater from the roofs which is harvested with a screened water tank in the front of the house. This sustainable house was designed by Marcus O’Reilly Architects.
