Mimosa Architekti designed this charming home, which was located the small village of Bohumile? in the Pardubice region, Czech Republic. One look was enough to establish who the inhabitants were, was the striking thing about this modern house. The wooden exterior inspired its cozy atmosphere, as well as its picturesque site (lush vegetation, a near-by lake). A perfect environment was created for a young family. According to the architects, the building tried to be an unobtrusive, yet an expressive resident of the place. There were two floors in the house design; the bottom level houses most of the living space, such as a large entrance zone, an open plan living room with an integrated dining area, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Creating a dynamic atmosphere, perfect for encouraging the creativity of the two children living here, the interior design paid tribute to space and color.
Villa Bussum, a private residence by Group A
This house design was nominated for the Daylight Award 2010, an event that honored the projects which “reached an optimum result in combining daylight, artificial light and design”, located in Bussum, a small city near Amsterdam, in The Netherlands. A private residence, integrated in an opulent green environment and also between 19 century villas was Villa Bossum. Just like the owners asked, its interior was modern and spacious. There were a beautiful secluded garden and a sheltered parking lot in the modern house. The elegant feel of this place given by its shape and color would be enjoyed.
