Cell Space Architects developed the Villa-K. The modern residence was located in Karuizawa, Nagano. Situated on a hilltop, its overall appearance could remind one of a typical modern American home due to this residence did not have to deal with space constraints. Built around a central sustaining pillar, Villa K was made out of four floors built on different levels. The four otherwise separate volumes were connected by windows. A 360 degree panorama of the surrounding landscape was offered. The interior design was minimalist and inspirational. With the open floor plan, an abundance of natural light was allowed. A few great places were provided for socializing. As they were very practical and didn’t obstruct the views, the storage cabinets were situated below the widow levels.

UH1, Modern Villa Design by RB Arkitektur
As a German bunker from the Second World War, Villa UH1, which was actually a minimalist home with contemporary accents, was designed by the creative folks at RB Arkitektur. The villa design was actually an eco-friendly example of how to go beyond the boundaries, meant as a single-family house. Located on a soft natural slope in a residential area of Stockholm, there was a roof covered in green moss. Geothermal energy was used to harness energy (a heat pump suplies the under-floor heating system). There was an inner courtyard for privacy. Promoting natural lighting, large open spaces and amazing furniture, a modern villa had large windows.
