The Green Weaving Club House by Hyunjoon Yoo Architects

An impressive, modern golf and club house was designed by the designers, Hyunjoon Yoo Architects. The modern house was located in Jeollanam-do (South Jeolla), South Korea. Although spreading over 5,670 square meters, the building had to be built on a long and narrow site. A fantastic place where golf connoisseurs could enjoy modern facilities in a contemporary setting was created. Creating apparent green passageways, a shorter version of the building, with gaps in-between the volumes, was constructed. Inspired by interwoven bamboo strips, the connection of all the rooms of the building – lobby, locker room, spa – was celebrated with nature. Creating exceptional green walls and creating an eco-friendly feature, some of the exterior walls were covered by Ivy and slow- growing Pachysandra terminalis with glossy green leaves. The house design became both architecturally beautiful and energy efficient.
