A beautiful modern home designed by Pacific Environments Architects and located in Matakana, New Zealand, was The Bourke House.
Formed as connected pavilions, the original family summer cottage relocated to next door made way for a new campsite. Providing a sustainable fulfilling lifestyle and maximizing sea-views, the elements and nature was created a family retreat to both experience (and be protected from). Forming a protective backing to the central space – the ‘campsite heart’ – as a gathering space, the modern houses were linked. Continued…
