This house located at Trial Bay in Tasmania, Australia. Actually, the existing house was reorganised and added with a new living room, veranda, courtyard and garage. The Heffernan Button Voss Architects have done the project as a metaphor for the landscape by creating a pattern of continuous space and circulation. The existing ‘holes in walls’ masonry character has achieved the duality of being extroverted and open to the landscape, yet being solid, strong and robust. There is a “Channel Room” in the house which is like an abstraction of a cinematographer’s camera. Here, the apertures have been adjusted to subject, view, and light. From the room, the D’Entrecasteaux Channel can be looked.
