The Design of YN-13 House in Shelter Island New York

The location of this house is in Shelter Island, New York. The YN-13 house was designed by New York-based architectural firm Morris Sato Studio, which was inspired by inspired by historic Japanese residential structures in Kyoto and Kanazawa, Japan. The house designed as three free standing mass those are the main house, the guest house, and garage. These three volumes are enclosing a courtyard with a pool in its center. The exterior wall is cladding with bleached vertical battens and clapboard siding combined with stainless steel roofing. This mixing is resulting in harmony of texture appearance between the wall and the roof.

The Minimalist Design of Pet Friendly House in Japan

The house is wonderful in design with the careful attention to house the dogs. The area underneath the house is utilized for the dogs with low opening to the yard with green grass. There is an outdoor shower too. This minimalist house has simple façade spacious interior which is efficient. The contrast is in interiors with its crisp white walls and dark wood combination. This elegant house was designed by Japanese architect Kouichi Kimura.
